An intimate, screen-free card room
The card room at Rook & Reverie is a deliberately intimate, screen-free space. Espresso-toned wood, charcoal panelling and muted rust accents frame a series of physical poker tables, each surrounded by low, architectural lamps that hold the focus on the table surface.
Here, live poker is quiet and conversational. Playing cards pass from hand to hand across soft green cloth, poker chips provide gentle, tactile rhythm, and the presence of table hosts keeps the live card room relaxed, welcoming and unhurried. This is a physical card room designed for connection rather than distraction.
The dedicated card lounge
Beyond the dining room, the card lounge forms a soft threshold into the live card room. Guests drift from shared plates to shared hands, moving from restaurant banquettes to upholstered lounge seating and, finally, to the card tables themselves.
In the card lounge, conversation stretches out over nightcaps, card-room etiquette is gently introduced by table hosts and the rhythm of offline poker begins to build long before a seat is taken at a physical poker table.

Rook & Reverie is, first and foremost, a neighbourhood restaurant. Most poker evenings begin with a meal — shared plates, modern Australian dishes and time to settle into the night. From there, guests may wander into the parlour, settle in the card lounge or continue straight to the live card room.
Our signature flow brings together hospitality and offline poker in a single, continuous experience: Dinner → Parlour → Card Lounge → Card Room → Offline Poker. At each step, table hosts and restaurant staff work together so that transitions feel natural, unhurried and entirely optional.
